There must be at least one stop in MItchell. Otherwise it's a slap in the face of all Gungahlin residents, many of whom do business directly with various Mitchell businesses, as well as anyone living along Northbourne Avenue wanting to do business in Mitchell. It would be like running the light rail past the airport and not putting in a stop because the all-knowing governmnet decided, without consultation, that not enough people would use it. On one hand the government are trying to get citizens to rely on public transport but on the other hand they are making it difficult to do so and will only see more and more privcate cars used and less use of the light rail. It's time they 'get real'.

The gap between Well Station Drive and EPIC, which leaves Mitchell out, is the longest gap between stops on the line.
Also, surely people would be more prepared to walk a little further from a rail stop (or go, more slowly, by bus) to a special event at EPIC, compared to walking to Mitchell businesses all-year-round from a rail stop some distance away (or having to get a less speedy bus service).

I live in Gungahlin, have no vehicle, and there are places in Mitchell that a Light Rail stop will make visiting easier. (and so much quicker!)

Light rail to Mitchell is an essential public transport service & no stop to Mitchell is completely illogical. Why bypass one of the major business districts? Why not skip Civic aswell???

Hell yes. Its a no brainer! Such a big need for a stop there. I assumed with the depot being there we would get atleast one stop.... and the post office and parcel collection depot... let alone ALL the other businesses...

I think a stop in Mitchell would be great particularly with the childrens play centres. Catch a train to Mitchell and go to a play centre wpuld make many little kids who love trains very happy.
