I believe phasing out Btech program at this stage will disadvantage a lot of students out there. Many are still studying national diploma and by the time they finish they will not be able to further their studies

Removing BTech is unfair and unjust to us as technicians. Students should be properly informed and Universities of Technology must have necessary mechanisms in place for students.

Btech shall not be phased out while there are still diplomate who can not further their studies if there is no Btech anymore, meaning they will have to start the course from ground or do another course and that's a waste of time

I have completed my BTech in Quantity Surveying and it makes me unhappy that other students will not be afforded the opportunity. National Diploma is worth next to nothing I reckon. I actually think it should be compulsory to complete your BTech. Misleading the students regarding their career path is filthy. Most employers do not even know what an advanced diploma is. This change is very unfair and inconsiderate.
