We need the opportunity to enroll for the B-Tech, since we were not informed about the it phasing out. Every student that enrolled for the National Diploma must be allowed a into the Btech program.

This i REALLY not fair as some of us are not workung with our diplomas thus we do not have funds to register for BTech. And this phasing out should have started with diploma first as this does not make any logic because now in 2019 there students who are still doing their diploma..so tell me what is goin to happen with them after they complete their diplomas

I fully agree. University of Technologies should take the lead in informing up and aspiring students who wish to take up studies in Engineering but due to lack of finances cannot enrol at Universities. The current diploma students must be given a chance to complete their studies.

Btech should be extended to phase out current students

The only reason B. Tech is being phased out is because industry incentivises more degree graduates. An unbalanced favour towards degree graduates may yield a backlog in hand on skills in future. Removing B. Tech is not the best proposal.

Institutions in collaboration with government should have informed students of these changes long time before. They mustn't gamble with our future.

BTech should stay, it has proven to produce brilliant professionals and it is absolutely unfair to remove the program without students having an opportunity to complete BTech, that too through no fault of their own. Please be realistic and let BTech continue

I am in my last year of my diploma and I planned to do my Btech after, doing away with Btech will only slow down the progress our country growing in the software sector which is a crucial sector as everybody needs new and innovative technology.. and with the qualification many South Africans will not get good jobs which will impact the Economy severely.
