Am also one of those students affected. I cant register for my B-Tech because i am owing the institution. Government is not funding B-Tech Students. When we confront companies for employment they want B-Tech as one of their requirements and that experience that we unable to get without B-Tech. Its difficult for us we are not employed we our National Diploma.

The phasing out of B-Tech at this point is unfair considering the fact that some people are still struggling to get their inservice training and some are still finishing up their National Diploma.

I feel like its unfair to be a NSFAS beneficiary for three years while doing your diploma and you told that Btech is being faced out leaving you without a choice but to further your studies, but the sad reality is that you have to pay for your own fees. Question is with what I still don't have money like all those years that past how can I cover my fees now? Government please intervene we are your kids too hear our cry.

It can't be that btech phasing out there are students struggling with undergraduate modules but still want to enroll btech. So atleast 2years notice from now before btech phase out will be fair.
