Bring Champ Ligon Back!
In support of Champ Ligon and what he has done for Bryan Station over the past five years,we believe he should not have been fired \"Bryan Station won only two games the season before Ligon arrived. The Defenders won four games his first year, and 14 the second. In his third season Bryan Station re-established itself as one of the top teams in the state. It went 24-8 and lost in the 11th Region finals to Henry Clay. The Defenders went 20-10 the next year, and 24-8 this past season when they were rated as high as No. 2 in the state behind district rival, national power and eventual state champ Scott County. Bryan Station\'s 68 victories over the last three seasons are the most by any of Lexington\'s five public high schools. \"I take pride and satisfaction in turning the program around,\" Ligon said.\" Via Herald Leader Champ Ligon should get his job back and a public apology from the Bryan Station Administration .
