This is an urgent appeal to Deutsche Grammophon to give the Karajan/BPO Bruckner set (1975-82) the remasterings they deserve. DG have just reissued the set, by merely repackaging them again, in transfers that date from the mid-80s when they were first issued on individual CDs. A great deal of the Karajan output has now been remastered using their OIBP (Original Image Bit-Processing) and more recent 24bit/96kHz techniques. The results have always been a great improvement in the sound, even when applied to Karajan\'s later digital recordings. It\'s a terrible missed opportunity not have used 2008 Karajan Year to finally issue these sensational recordings in state-of-the-art remasterings.

Total missed opportunity.
