Are you, as voting members, satisfied with the board response, or do you seek further action in the form of a special meeting?
500+ signatures are needed from the membership base in support of a meeting with the executive board as soon as possible.
Members request transparency in all dealings of the board -- in particular answers for the recent *departure* of the organization's CEO, Beth Gilhespy.
When 500 names are achieved the petition will be sent to the board with a formal request for a meeting.
If, as members and volunteers, our answers are not met in a satisfactory way, a vote of non-confidence will be organized with the purpose of making a change in leadership and direction of the executive board.

member #19620. Beth Gilhespy's leadership was to me a perfect combination of wonderful competence and deep personal commitment to the roots of the BTA. The recent past events feel like a corporate take-over.
I have read the letter from the Chair of the Board and feel very strongly that the Board owes the 10,000 members a much better explanation. One way to achieve this will be to have a public meeting. Gordon N Member # 36849
#15187. I have just read "Trail to the Bruce" and felt so relieved that the BTC now seemed on a clear and steady course, with Beth at the helm. I would be upset to see another era of uncertain goals and dissention. Please let the membership know what direction the Directors now intend to go and why a change was needed.
