I feel unbelievably scared to go to school when there is a clear and present danger in the very building that my iPad addiction took seed. Of all places this may be the most scary for me to be at because of the bad things that happen to me here.

First they take away short Wednesdays, then less days off, and now we school on Election Day. Sad to see what this school has come to.

Why would Brother rice have school but Marian not!? This makes no sense I mean someone could seriously get hurt hundreds of strangers in the gym voting who know one of them could be a terrorist and kill all of us!

In all seriousness, school should be closed because there is a very real threat that voters could bring. Also, many strangers know that Brother Rice is one of the only schools open, therefore they could take advantage of that and attack. School should definitely be closed for the safety of the students.

As an alumni with relatives in the building I can understand what these students are feeling. I simply ask that the staff be responsible in this. Seeing as Marian has closed I see no reason to have school and waste money on security when the day could just be called off. Let the boys have it!

School shootings are too real of a threat. There could be a possible lawsuit if we break the law and have school and there is a possible threat.

One stranger and we lock down the school. Hundreds come in and it's totally fine?

As a former student and current teacher and a voter and knowing that there are some bad people that go out and vote I say there shouldn't be school tomorrow for the safety of our students

As superintendent of Bloomfield Schools I speak on behalf of the safety of our children. Our children are the future of this institution and if we have school tomorrow we may wreck that institution.

Valid points here. Sorry in today's world, the threat is always there and should be handled responsibly.

it is rediculous that we are trying to have school tomorrow. This petition has done a great job of putting into words the concerns that a majority of the student body is feeling as well as many of the teachers that I have talked to.
I cannot believe that the faculty would freely put the lives of thousands of students at risk by letting people come into our school. With all of the terrible things that are happening in our world today, it is a reality that something happens to put Brother Rice students in danger. Also, I do not understand why we would hire security when we could just have the day cancelled. Security is expensive and I believe that the money could be put to better use for our education.

If students don't wear an ID the faculty freaks out cuz "we don't know if you're a student or not" and now we let a bunch of people who could be a possible threat in the school like seriously
Please cancel school
I agree that it is unsafe.
