Let it be peer reviewed.

It is a disgrace to science that an author is being hounded in this way. Everybody suffers if intolerance of this kind is allowed to continue. The public will completely lose faith in academia if this behaviour is not curbed and reason restored.

This is terrible - to start censoring academic research . Shame on you

Stop the War on Women! Allow research to be done on girls who report "gender dysphoria." Love, accept and include girls and women in your policy-making!

Terf is a slur. Sex-based violence is real. Censorship by a university of an academic's research is an astoundingly wrong thing to endorse or enforce.

This study should be thoughtfully evaluated. Suppressing it sends a clear threat of discrediting all others who want to further study ROGD

I am constantly embarrassed by the cowardness of academia. In this case it is Brown, but there are many other examples.

It is essential that Dr Littman's crucial research is not censored.

We need more, much more, research in this area, not less. I support Dr. Littman.

This is the literary equivalent of no-platforming. I'm shocked - but hardly surprised - that an academic institution has effectively caved in to pressure from transgender activists.

This study should raise concern and be the basis for more and better research. Brown University shows that it is not an academic institution devoted to rational thought and good research on important problems, but an institution that bows to ideological pressure at the first sign that a study may be controversial.

As an older, masculine-appearing woman, I have been told that I should transition to be a man because of my appearance; I am sure that if I were a young woman today, I would be seeking, at a minimum, medically-unnecessary breast amputation. The social contagion underlying the explosion of gender dysphoria and trans identity in young women must be examined by competent researchers, and research institutions must support their scientists in reporting their findings.

We cannot let activist groups dictate what is and is not scientific. What we observe and measure is a fact. What we do with that fact is another matter entirely.

I was a teenage transitioner, and I support Dr Littman’s right to publish academic work without being subjected to ideological censorship.

I am not a parent in the study, nor do I have any strong opinion on the issue under study. My concern is the precedent set by walling off studies because of pressure by special interest groups...What's next? Loud lobbies organized on social media scream about almost every issue worth scientific study, climate, religion, gender roles, diet, vaccination. Limit yourself to discussing cat videoes or don't self censor data, your choice.

As an academic and a mother of a child who transitioned at puberty and went on to de-transition 14 months later. it concerns me that important research is being censored

Researchers need to be free to conduct research without fear of censure.

It would be shameful if American academia withdraws support for research on the emotional health of young girls at the insistence of grown men who produce internet porn and advertise BDSM Domme services.

Please don't stifle research on the health and well-being of youth. This is a new phenomena and deserves sufficient study.
