The university reaction smacks of virtue signalling and intellectual cowardice.

Dr. Littman's study went through the peer-review process and was found worthy of being published. Anyone who supports academic freedom should be very troubled by how Brown University has handled this situation.

This study must continue and we should not give up beliefs just because others express their beliefs louder

This research is being done to help trans youth. It should not only be allowed, but encouraged. This seems to be a case where online mob mentality and outrage has taken over with no grounding in facts. As a learning institution, Brown should not shape its policies to fit mobs rooted in ignorance and intolerance of research done to help others. In light of this, Brown needs to support Dr. Lisa Littman and her research.

This is incredibly important research. Our teens and families are simply trying to seek out the best possible mental and physical health options for our children/teens and we need to learn the facts. Suppressing or shaming researchers/parents for asking questions in order to support a specific agenda and narrative is unacceptable in a free and rational society.

Attempts to censor scientific research must be resisted. The truth is not transphobic. Facts are not bigoted.

The suppression of academic research because it challenges a fashionable belief or offends a vociferous minority is disgraceful.

Research into this phenomena is so necessary to support trans teens and to make sure we can identify those that are simply questioning their identity. More research not less!

Open-minded discussion of scientific questions is always important. It is especially important when dealing with a painful human problem like gender dysphoria in adolescents.

Radical trans activism must be seen for what it is, misogynistic and homophobic. There are biological and societal differences between men and women that cant be ignored.
