Properly peer-reviewed science should never be suppressed just because the results don't please some interests.

The censorship of this work is a huge blow to academic freedom. It is shocking to see a respected university behaving in this way

I was gender nonconforming as a child, and as an adult I am gay. I fear that ROGD is the result of likely gay children internalizing societal homophobia, and wanting to change sex to be straight. Children are being experimented on, & possibly sterilized...all for something that could just be a fad.

Publication should not be influenced by pressure groups. Promote research and understanding by more research not eliminating that which doesn’t “fit”

The truth needs to be told. Transgenderism is akin to a religious belief--I will respect your right to believe what you want, but you may not force others to adopt your worldview. Shutting down intellectual freedom is worrisome.

Legitimate research of ANY topic should be carefully considered and not suppressed - this is the very essence of academic rigor!

I am very concerned about the apparant lack of attention to mental health for these young people. The causes of these sudden rises needs research not ignoring.

How can so few people (the trans cult) wield such power over the rest of society? They are trying to shut down any challenge.

Publish the paper and let the academics sort it out.

I'm a trans person. Even if someone doesn't agree with a scientific consensus, that gives them no right to censor that consensus.

Dr. Littman is simply researching a new and interesting trend in the psychological health of the world, and has no political motivations for her work. I support science by signing this paper.
No ideology should suppress science.

It is of utmost importance that all sides are heard, scientific studies should never be withdrawn because they may have hurt some people’s feelings. All it will do is stunt scientific progress!

Indeed it is to be expected that transgender activists will become more shrill. when their narrative is challenged. Historically this is the typical pattern and unfortunately the squeaky wheel will get the grease. Thank you for doing the research. Brown University should not succumb to mob-influence. The real finding in the study is that the mental health profession has failed and needs to reassess how it assesses these young people. The DSM-5 is extremely flawed.

Science is science and should not be stopped because one fears what the results of the investigation might be, nor how said results might affect an institution politically

We can't expand our knowledge if we submit to those who seek to silence.

No rush to judgment in situations with such serious future implications.
