Academic freedom requires free and open publication. Brown University needs to change its stance back to supporting academic freedom.

I am deeply concerned as a scientist that in this case social constructionism is dictating the scope of hard science. If so, the end result can only be harm to health of transexuals. A few irritated voices do not speak for all those transexuals who need the medical profession to understand them. Please do not censor quality research, regardless of conclusions.

Of course transgenderism is a social contagion. And the contagion includes the political pressure of orthodox transgenderism, who seek to punish all dissenters, whether scientists, philosophers, or others. I, for one, will not back down.

I wish to understand why younger people are choosing to be transgender. That is all, thank you.

Scientific inquiry must be respected. Don't go back to the middle ages Inquisition. Stop the witch hunt

It is critical to our society and our democratic values that all voices on this controversial issue are not silenced or censored in an way!! Dissenting voices have a right to be heard on both sides of this issue!!

I am concerned over the attempts to silence our skew what should be independent academically robust studies. If universities lose their reputation for scientific enquiry regardless of political pressure, then free speech will be lost widely in society.

Suppression of academic freedom and free inquiry in the name of leftist ideology is wrong

This is a very vital study and it cannot be allowed to be repressed by the feelings of the trans activist ideology and community. This study invalidates noone's experiences it is merely a study, and for the sake of science, it cannot be silenced. To silence it would be detesting freedom of speech and stopping scientific knowledge about the phenomena. We cannot let the gender ideologues stop vital research that can stop hundreds of teens from potentially doing something permanent to their body they might regret later on in life.

This is an essential study. Knowledge is power. The more knowledge we have the more guidance can be given to people struggling with these issues.

this deserves publication. The results may be scrutinized but the publication should happen.

From the reading I’ve done around the controversy of trans versus women recently, I’d say this needs a much deeper look and you need to support scientifically-based research that you are well respected institution are in a position to do.

Brown's removal of this study is transphobic. Adolescents experiencing gender dysphoria deserve the scientific research to understand their condition.

I find it interesting that you would pull a study for lack of good scientific process when most transgender studies supporting transgenderism are also flawed. Isn't freedom of speech being able to have differing opinions and good discussion about it. And not just denying something that you don't believe in?

Any university trying to suppress research should be utterly ashamed of themselves. What is the point of you if you’re not interested in actual research?

An unprecedented amount of children are seeking life-changing medical interventions and it is crucial that such choices are critically examined. I stand in solidarity with Dr. Littman.
