Censoring scientific research because it does not suit the new agenda is the ultimate fascism.

A university caving to pressure from those who choose to close their eyes, and cover their ears to science is hypocrisy at best, and dangerous at worst.

I am a Professor of Psychiatry at CWRU School of Medicine and author of "Transgender Delusion," published in First Things, October 2015. Delighted to see that others are recognizing the nature of this tragedy.

Love hurts, and mental illness is a real thing. I know there is no genetic marker for crazy, but be assured these kids will be killing themselves and or others because we never helped them when they needed help the most.

As a senior member of this faculty, I wish to urge our Administration to consider that hypothesized political implications of the research by a Brown scholar should never become the basis of the University's decisions about promoting or disseminating that work -- which appears to be the case here...

I make no judgement about the merits of the study itself, but I find the attempt to suppress it outrageous.

To censor a scientific study only because it has a conclusion you dislike is the exact reason we are doomed to repeat the "Dark Ages". We need a renaissance of scientific study where investigators follow the truth where ever it takes them. To boldly follow provable facts not unscientific popular group think based on feelings. Facts don't care about your feelings...they just "are".

An American institution should never repress studies just because it doesn't align with their political views.

Please allow this critical research. All voices must be heard.

This mental abnormality splits the whole person, pitting the mind against the biological reality of sex and can only bring confusion, despair, depression and suicidal thoughts in the end. The medical community should work to bring the person to accept and see the beauty of who they actually are.

It's shocking that a university has made itself complicit in an assault on academic freedom and on scientific study. Surely more, not less, proper scientific research into this issue affecting the health and wellbeing of children is needed.

I urge Brown university to defend academic freedom and the fundamental principle that the truth should not be censored because it is unpalatable to some people.

I am praying for all that they would know the joy in their femaleness and maleness that God intended them to be from conception.

Let's not let these children become our greatest regret. Honest research is vital BEFORE such a rush to social policy we see happening, and at the expense of a generation of children!
