As the grandparent of a rapid onset gender dysphoric child who did not participate in this study, I sign this in the hope that we can find a way for these children to find their true selves. To do this we must acknowledge and consider all sides of the issue, including legitimate studies such as Dr. Littman's, in the interest of academic freedom and truth. To deny the legitimacy of this study in the name of diversity is an affront to every parent and child struggling with gender dysphoria. Brown University's dean should rethink yielding to special interest pressure over justifiable academic analysis.

I fully support Dr. Littman's efforts to study this increasing trend and believe more research is needed. It is shameful of the university and the publication to cave to outspoken activists instead of allowing the discussion to evolve on how to get more research and improve on it. My daughters case fits these descriptions exactly and to ignore the trends we parents are seeing, and dismiss them, insisting on self-diagnosis and immediate affirmation, puts thousands in danger.

Academic research should not be memory-holed in the name of political correctness.

This is no surprise given the current climate but it is, nonetheless, horrifying and disgraceful. In twenty years time, the victims of the trans propaganda are going to need a whole new army of support when they realise what they have done to themselves is irreversible.

My child falls into this category and I would dearly like scientific research into what is going on.

We progressives accuse the right of quashing science they don't like all the time - we can't do the same things ourselves. Let research happen.

The action of the dean and supporting staff suppresses scientific exploration of the truth in and its reporting evidence related to a human rights issue that can have life saving consequences. This type of higher level educational institutional administrative bias and unethical behavior should be boycotted. Students should not attend universities that suppress information, academic search for various aspects of truth and due diligence to gain it.

My daughter now aged 22 would fit the criteria for ROGD.
As her parents we are afraid to encourage her to access the psychological help we think she needs, because all the avenues currently favour affirmation and dangerous irreversible medical intervention.
In the UK there is no help available to her to come to terms with her feelings and to accept the reality of her womanhood.
My husband is a scientist and fully understands the consequences of the inappropriate use of hormones.
He is appalled that the NHS is promoting the use of testosterone in females in spite of evidence of detrimental effects and lack of evidence of safe and beneficial outcomes.
Ideology must not be allowed to over-ride existing scientific evidence, and must not be allowed to stifle future scientific endeavour.

Thank you Prof. Littman for going where your data led you, and publishing the results. Shame on Brown, my alma mater.
