Petition to not allow zoning changes and not allow a Boat Storage. "418" Broughton Rd.

Keep our town quiet and quaint money talks is disgusting

I live very close to this proposed zoning change and am very concerned about the congestion this could cause during high traffic times. I could easily see Broughton Road easily backed up during these times. I could see issues with emergency services being able to access my area as well as getting to surrounding areas. I just do not see the proper infrastructure in place. As well as the fact that once you pass the courthouse corner this area is strictly residential. Please consider a more commercial location for this boat storage or any other commercial development. I respectfully request this tract of land stay residential. Thank you.

I am a resident dlof the area and do not agree with this rezoning.

Broughton Road should not be zoned for commercial unless it is before the Municipal Building or at the Boat Landing. The school busses already have timing issues and delays. Maybe great to add businesses to Berkeley County for revenue not just on Broughton Rd., which should be residential or agriculture.

I am totally against this boat storage. We have enough traffic already. The traffic from Kitfield will become problematic as people will be forced to cut thru the neighborhood at Sandy Drive if they get backed up on Kitfield Rd. Too many of our wetlands are being destroyed also! I've been in Thornley Forest for 35 years and I travel this road Multiple times per week. I do not want to see a boat storage interrupt the residential integrity of our area! No! Build somewhere else!

This does not fit in the fabric of the community. Stop rezoning to have more growth.

If the HOA doesn’t want to look at boats in their community why should other homeowners be forced to look at them. The level of traffic, litter and drunk drivers coming off the water is bad enough on Broughton adding a business in addition to the community off of KitField is more than the area can handle, it will continue to stress the ecosystem and what Moncks Corner is known for.

Don't need commercial property in our neighborhood. These people that want to do this live in Mount Pleasant. Don't bring your c*** over here we don't need it. Don't want it. On top of that we need to lower the speed limit on brought.

We the residents are opposed to a boat storage facility on Broughton Road. This is not a commercial area and should not be used as one. We bought here to get away from living in a commercial area.

This is something that is near and dear to my heart. Due to the traffic with the school being so close and the kids. This area is already having heavy traffic issue, this is something that will create a large problem and doesn't belong in this area. Not to mention all the trash from the boat, the eye soar of dumpsters, trash trucks coming in and out, possibly intoxicated people hauling boat around kids, really. Please this is a horrible idea. You must stop this!!!

This huge boat landing at the end of broughton road is going to be enough traffic added along with the new neighborhood being added to kitfield road leaving only two ways out with all surrounding school traffic! Zoning for boat storage in a residential area is crazy! I hope all neighbors show up for the meeting august 15 at 6:00 to voice all concerns!
