Broomfield Hospital patients must travel to Colchester if they need radiotherapy treatment.
Despite promises made over a number of years that radiotherapy services will be provided at Broomfield Hospital, the Mid-Essex Primary Care Trust could make this decision with very little public/patient communication, consultation or involvement.

cant we raise some money get this unit up and running. what about a grant from the health lottery
How can Chelmsford call itself a City when we not able to have a much need radiotherapy unit in Chelmsford , probably more than a John Lewis
my mum had to do that trip to colchester every day for weeks while so sick. its just cruel to expect people to travel that far when we have broomfield right here.
Ridiculous decision. Why do we pay taxes if they just move everything away from us? Need to keep services local.
totally agree. chelmsford is big enough to have its own radiotherapy unit now. stop wasting our time and get it built.
