Class of 1981 - This is not the schoo that I was so proud to have attended. This is a place of learning, not a place to nurture or tolerate ignorance.

As an alumni of Brooklyn Technical High School, who believes in the value of a diverse and just society, I sign this petition in support of students that want their voices heard.

I am an alumni from the class of 2007. We all love our alma mater and want it to maintain its respect and prestige. However, it is important for all students to feel safe, valued and included in their educational environment and administration needs to actively be doing their part to ensure this.

The sentiments expressed by current students doesn't resemble in any way the school culture I experienced as part of the class of '94. As a Technite you should feel confident and have a strong sense of self and openness to the diversity that represents NYC and the world. I don't live in a bubble and I realize the state of unrest we live in but we have a choice to fight for equality as opposed to the status quo.

We have to do our part. These students don't have to deal with this alone.

The sexual exploitation of innocent students by a convicted teacher should not have escape the administration. What is disingenuous and unconscionable is that the principal is still on the job. The racist accusation is believable because the BTHS administration was not held accoutable for the sexploitation of students.

I'm deeply disappointed in the steep decline in the black student population at Tech as well as the apparent lack of tolerance among both students and teachers. The experience these students are having is different from the one I had while attending the school. Changes must be made

I stand with the current and future students to say ALL students have a place at Tech and the right not to be harassed due to any personal charactistic that someone deems worthy of scorn.

As an alum of Brooklyn tech whose mom worked in the civil rights movement I am outraged to learn about recent events a BTHS.
