I've dined at Brookes Restaurant several times and would hate to see it close. It must surely be of immeasurable value to the students.

Brookes Restaurant is a jewel in the crown of the Oxford dining scene. I have dined there on scores of occasions over the years and think the food is outstanding. It brings great prestige to the University. It closure would be an immense act of self-harm.

It would be a tradegy for all concerned if this facility closed. Students would not be able to have the high class training and experience that they currently benefiy from and, customers would lose one of the best restaurants in Oxford. I strongly object to the proposal to close the restaurant

I have used this restaurant since the 1970s, and consider it one of the gold star facilities of any university links with local and International professional bodies and the local community.

I've had several wonderful lunches there too celebrate my mum's birthday. Apart from the superb, the staff were exemplary in honoring my mum in her 90s!

A great local resource for good eating and education for adults and children apart from the benefits to Brookes students.

The restaurant is excellent – the best dining experience in Oxford – and the staff are very well-trained and professional and very courteous. It sets a wonderful example that many mediocre restaurants in Oxford could follow in terms of service.

I would be very sad if the restaurant closed. For the last 3 years my sister and i have taken our mum there for her birthday (she is in her 90s) I couldn't imagine taking her to any other restaurant. The staff have always treated us so well. The atmosphere is very calm (no loud music) and relaxing and of course the food is excellent. Please don't close!

Closing this restaurant will devalue the course for the students and will remove a valuable local facility

Closing the restaurant would be a huge shame. I hope the university will reconsider.

This excellent facility is of great value to both Brookes University and the local population.

This restaurant is giving students valuable work experience and the public a positive experience of Brookes rather than the negative experience so many students in the Headington area cause,it will be a real mistake to close it.

This is the wrong way to go in Times when hospitality management education in the UK has to work hard to keep its international attractiveness. Closing infrastructure so central to delivering customer close programmes will diminish student numbers, eventually result in the loss of jobs and end up producing graduates who do not have the experience to a significant sector of the economy forward.

Wonderful food, excellent facility, its closure would be a great loss indeed.
