This excellent restaurant is a vital part of the school of hospitality and management for students whose practical experience is a vital part of their training.
I support Brookes Restaurant and believe the Oxford School of Hospitality Management would not be able to deliver the same world-class hospitality education should the restaurant cease its operations.

It would be a crying shame to close Brookes Restaurant, as it provides excellent service, delicious food at very reasonable prices and a lovely relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a meal.

Closing this restaurant would be a desperate shame for students who will lose this vital experience as part of their training and for the community who will lose one of the best restaurants that Oxford has.

As a former student of Brookes and a former Headington resident I believe this would be a massive loss for both. It really is a hidden gem.

Brookes is currently advertising its Hospitality Management BSc on the basis of, "You will also spend time enhancing your practical skills in Brookes Restaurant and our modern kitchen." And what about the cookery school too?

Do enough people know about this fabulous restaurant? If the restaurant is not viable with the current number of visitors then a marketing campaign should be considered to keep it open. Students undertaking marketing degree could undertake this.
