The council finally agreed to broadcast the work sessions. It was a long road to get here but I am relieved that the city is choosing transparency. Keep checking channel 17 to ensure they follow through.

Petition to Broadcast Provo Municipal Council Work Sessions

We the undersigned respectfully request that Provo's Municipal Council Work Sessions be included as live broadcasts and also be featured for playback on Channel 17.
As a public meeting, the discussion should be more readily accessible to Provo Citizens and will allow greater transparency in our government. It also allows for greater awareness of issues being discussed in our city and will allow citizens to become more informed participants in the activities of the city.

Seeing this much momentum is exhausting but it proves that people really do want to see what happens behind the closed doors of our city government. I am feeling the weight of this goal tonight yet I know we have to keep pushing until these meetings are open to everyone.

DO IT. sick of reading about what they did after the fact.
Why isnt this happening already?? We deserve to know whats going on with our tax dollars.
Transparency is key. If they have nothing to hide they should be happy to broadcast it.
should be common practice in a city this size. thanks for spearheading this.
I work during the meetings so this would be a huge help for me to catch up on what they decide.

Living in provo my whole life and it feels like we are kept in the dark half the time. Put it on tv already.
