Broad Street Update: Final Plan Petition

No thought process was behind re boundary. Big problem for parents with multiple kids going to different schools on different buses. More taxes but still no new school for our children.

I’m living in Fleetview Drive, with 1 kid in Grade 1 in Bedford south.

My three kids need to go to Broad Street School and this school is our neighborhood school, not Basinview , not Rocky Lake Elementary or Junior High School!

I live in starboard drive and I am a parent of 1 kid in grade 5 attending rocky lake elementary school

I'm a parent of 10 years old girle attending Rocky lake elementary school and we live in Starboard Dr.

I am a parent living in fleetview drive. I have 3 kids with the age range 5-13 years going to 3 different school

I support this petition, its unfair my kids have to attend 5 different schools from PP to Grade 12.

I support this petition.living in transom dr and I have two kids 5 and 8There was no clear process for establishing the boundary, we never knew that this will results in changing the boundary by removing neighbourhoods without getting our agreement! We totally respect the growing community however we are part of it. Our kids has the right like other kids in the community too have access to french immersion a reasonable school transitions without impacting their learning journey or overwhelming them by shifting from school to another. We are the most impacted our kids won’t be able to go walking to any of the schools as non of them walking distance, neither will be able to join french immersion as non of the schools support it and most of out of reach requests are being turned for us. On top they have to go 5 different schools from PP to grade 12.

A new school is supposed to bring relief to members of our community not to inflict undue burden and hardship on our families and children. Why does our community have to be the most impacted by the changes in the final boundary? Why are our kids no longer added to the boundary which once included them? Please re-think the changes to the initial proposed boundary- We want French immersion program, we want our young kids to be with their older siblings at school, we want to see our taxes working.

I am a parent living in Transom drive. I have 1 kid with the age range 8 years going to Bedford south school and 10 going to Rocky Lake Rlementary.

I am a parent of a 4 year old living on Transom drive currently going to Bedford south school. We are not happy about the decision been made. Kindly relook into this decision made as it doesn’t add any value and clearly lacks the actual sense despite of being in the close radius.

I am really disappointed from the new school boundaries and excluding our area from being part of Broad school . I don’t understand why my kids has to go to 5 different schools Pre primary to high school! We live in Southgate drive , windridge lane street and Bedford south school is down the hill , why should I send my little one to Basin view for pre primary this is an extreme burden on those little ones age!!! We are paying extremely high property taxes as new constructed area why we have been excluded from Broad street school and our kids has to change 5 schools through their education Journey and we are more closer to broad street. I am really requesting you to please reconsider the fact of five schooled burden on parents and kids! This would impact the kids education journey!
