To Parents/Carers of Briscoe school children, Recently there has been several  incidents that occur on school grounds whilst our children are in care of the school. Our most recent event of disgrace was on the 30th of January 2013 holly classes 1 and 2 were subject to bullying, embarrassment and a confidence knock. Children who of those parents who did not supply their child with a pe kit were forced against their rights and to take part in pe in their underwear. We understand as parents that the week before we all received a letter stating that children should be in their correct uniform as of the next week commencing. But i must make aware that not one parent was told that if we did not provide a pe kit (which was not mentioned as part of uniform) that our children would be taking part in their underwear. As a result their were a substantial amount of parents who are disgraced with this and were extrememly concerned about the welfare and safety of our children. Several parents had explained that they did provide the correct uniform but it went unoticed and yet the children were still made to do pe in their underwear. Not only did this happen but a  FIRE DRILL occured as our children were taking place in a physical education lesson and it would be ok for our children to stand outside undressed in their underwear, yes we of all parents agree clothed or not our childs safety comes first but if they were not in their underwear this would not of happened .where we currently are living their is a pedophile refuge a 60 second walk away. We as parents have formed a petition against this policy in the week commencing. Please share this information with other parents from BRISCOE PRIMARY SCHOOL to protect our childrens dignity! This effects our child's trust in the school, their dignity and human rights. I for one do not appreciate that my child has now been emotionally abused on someone they trust's behalf. The school are now in denial but not giving answers. I understand its because Ofsted are currently making a report, Because of this they have decided to call our children liars by stating the facts are not true. Yours true fully Concerned parent
