The School Board finally backed down and abandoned their reckless boundary plan. We held our ground against their incompetence and forced them to respect our right to choose. Stay vigilant because we are not going to let them try this nonsense again.

We respectfully request the Brisbane School Board delay
their vote on the proposal to redefine the geographic boundaries within Brisbane for elementary school enrollment assignments.
Currently those students who live in Brisbane at the Ridge have the option
to attend either Panorama or Brisbane Elementary. We respectfully request to
retain the right to choose the location that is right for each of our families.
We do not believe there has been enough time and care spent studying this proposal which would give all Brisbane the due process they deserve.
We understand that Panorama is currently under-enrolled. We ask that you seek other solutions to that problem. It is our understanding that the Brisbane Elementary kindergarten is not overenrolled for Fall of 2013.
We ask that the Brisbane School District board members consider the ramifications of this proposal very seriously, such as transportation and after-care for affected families, and the effect on property value at the Ridge. We request that a more formal study be conducted to look at these issues, as well as future community growth trends and the impact on our schools to determine if this geographic boundary change will have the desired impact.
Finally, we would request that existing BES families are allowed to be "grandfathered" into the proposal, should it be approved. All families that currently have a child/children enrolled in BES should be exempt from transferring or enrolling their children at Panorama. It would be a logistical nightmare for these families to have children at two different schools, or alternatively to uproot existing Brisbane Mountaineers.
Please give this proposal the further time and study it requires. We respectfully request the Brisbane School Board delays its' vote and that no changes to the boundary take place at this time.

The School Board cannot ignore this surge of opposition from families who refuse to have our choices stripped away. They are trying to rush this boundary change through without proper study but our momentum proves we are not going to be silenced.

If it aint broke dont fix it. Let the parents decide what is best for their own family.
LEAVE OUR CHOICES ALONE! Stop trying to fix things that arent broken.
My kids have friends at both schools. This is going to tear the community apart if they force this.
Why rush this? Needs way more thought before making such a huge change to our kids lives.
