We believe that the Thursday Night Lights games are a great way for the community and schools of Simcoe County to get together and enjoy a great game of football. The enjoyment that comes from building school spirit and participating in this fantastic community event should not be taken away from the students, parents and athletes due to the foolish actions of a few people. If TNL does return, to ensure the safety of those participating in future games, we believe that there should be a larger police presence at these events, even if it means paying a few dollars for admission. All the remaining money (after paying the police) would go straight back to the school's athletic program. And above all, we believe that Thursday Night Lights should be given a second chance.
