Earlier this year Flinders University announced the removal of bag storage facilities during exams claiming the provision of the service created unmanageable Occupational Health & Safety issues to security staff. Despite the cancellation of these facilities we are still not permitted to take bags and mobile phones into exams, and have been told to leave them at home. However this is not a realistic option for many of us who have other commitments on exam days, catch public transport, or do not feel comfortable leaving valuables in our cars. We are calling on Flinders University to reverse this unfair decision and reinstate this important student service for everyone who requires it!
