Googletalk took up very few resources or screen space. Hangouts takes over your whole computer.

Gtalk was so perfect. Exactly what my friend and I loved. Hangouts is horrible and interferes with how I like to chat and organize things. If I can find a replacement, I will leave Gmail permanently. Quite a disappointment google has become. Someday another vendor will realize the potential to meet the ACTUAL needs of Google customers and do them in.

Google Talk has been a vital part of the fluid operation of our office. The file sharing element has allowed us to work separately yet maintain immediate access while working on projects.
PLEASE allow us to keep it! I have Hangout but it is not as user friendly and efficient as Google Talk.
