Please administer sanctions but I think he should be given another chance.

If there's a conflict of interest it should be declared. So next time there's an interview on his show with Balsillie, Carney, Bruce Bailey, or art collectors, he can recuse himself.

This is way too over the top for what Solomon has done. Firing him seems more like a deliberate weakening of CBC's ability to contront the govt just in time for the election. And another hypervigilant and ham-handed rush to duck criticism.

I have always considered Evan to be incredibly knowledgeable and fair in his political analysis. I don't care if he sells art on the side or if he has business interests outside of CBC unless you can prove to me that it has tainted his impartiality.

Every person in the world uses contacts they make on the job for other interests!! He didn't solicit, coerce or use his on air job to broker art!! A real over reaction on the part of CBC!! I loved watching Leslie Roberts, but understood that what he did was a conflict of interest. This situation is entirely different!!

Evan Solomon is an outstanding journalist BUT he's also human. Many others have faced scandals, and/or accusations made by those who are jealous & envious ness of one's success. Get off your high horse CBC and reinstate Evan Solomon because as he practiced on P&P and as he frequently reminded panel guests "... Let's be fair!"

Please reinstate Evan Soloman. He is an excellent journalist who made a mistake - probably due to hubris but can't he be forgiven?
