We, the consumers of Omaha, Nebraska and surrounding environs do hereby petition KGOR and Clear Channel Radio of Omaha, to reinstate Radio Personality and Artist of Impeccable Entertainment, Dave Wingert, to his position as morning radio host on said KGOR. Whereas: In the words of blogger Leo Adam Biga, Wingy is: "the veteran broadcaster and stage actor is brave enough to simply be himself on air. Enervating, effusive, empathetic, effeminate", an entertainer with the ability to connect with all ages, genders, and sexual orientations and; Whereas: although having slipped up and offended some of the listening publice with words they themselves have either spoken or thought, and; Whereas: one can tune to literally hundreds of music and talk stations either via over-the-air or satellite reception and hear a constant barrage of offensive language and conversations implying sexual acitivity of all sort, and; Whereas: Dave Wingert has demonstrated a high level of community involvement in the arts and brings the enthusiasm of an incredible work ethic as well as a fresh and contemporary cultural perspective to Omaha radio, unlike that of any other radio personality regardless of their time slot, it is presented finally and resolved; Dave Wingert is a singularly talented and exceptional individual whose mistake of using "unsuitable" language fails to meet the level of offense, in our, the undersigned, opinion. We pray then that KGOR and Clear Channel Radio of Omaha would reconsider their recent action and BRING BACK WINGY!
