With the recent tours from YG international stars Big Bang and G-Dragon, Australian and New Zealand YG fans have often had to spend a large amount of money travelling internationally in order to see their favourite performers live. Many have then raised the simple question of 'why will they not come here?' I know personally that many individuals, myself included, have worked hard and saved up large amounts of money to travel to Indonesia and other neighbouring Asian countries, only to be left unable to do the same when another artist announces concerts within the same year. Then, on the other end of the spectrum, there are K-pop fans who are in their teens or not working full time, who are unable to do even that, and are left disheartened knowing that they are unable to see performances. If YG entertainment were to even make one stop over in Auckland and Sydney, there would be overwhelming evidence of the growing support for YG acts, as interstate trips are often much more plausible than international ones, and many younger fans would be opened up to an opportunity to see their favourite performers live. We want 20,000 signatures to be produced for those supporting the cause for YG entertainment to hold performances within the New Zealand and Australian communities, with the hope that producing these signatures to YG Entertainment directly will encourage the company to allow their performers to bring their acts to our shores.
