I can't see how the right to unliminted and unregulated abortion is the answer. Isn't it better to fund all the services necessary for a person to sustain life inside and outside the womb. This is a proven way to limit abortion or the perceived need for it.

If a "fetus" can live outside of the uterus is it not a person? If you see an ultra sound of even a 3 month old fetus doesn't look a lot like yourself as a baby?
It is OK to kill someone who can't speak for themselves but not OK to kill a baby? It is VERY twisted to me. We have laws guarding the rights of elders, & others who can't speak up for themselves. Why don't we have laws for a fetus who can't speak for themselves? Please - to me this is a license to kill. Think about this and vote no.

Please, vote no on Prop 5 and prevent immoral proposal from becoming law. As a Catholic, I urge you to please uphold and defend the US Constitutional, particularly allowing for the free exercise of religion clause in the First Amendment. Please, take the initiative to encourage Vermonters and citizens of all of the United States of America to encourage one another to strive to live according to the highest moral standards, as we are all created in the image and likeness of God, and are called to live holy and righteous lives (Canticle of Zechariah)

It’s so sad that this even has to be voted on. With woman’s right over their own body also comes responsibility on how they use their bodies. If they don’t want children there are plenty of ways nowadays to keep from getting pregnant, but nobody wants to talk about that. I know there’s always exceptions, but the majority of women who want this aren’t so interested in the exception, they just want an excuse to have an abortion because they didn’t take precautions, or see to it that their partner took proper precautions. Being irresponsible in the heat of the moment. No tax money to pay for this!
