Sign the petition (First and Last Name Please) in opposition to amending the Vermont Constitution to enshrine unlimited and unregulated ABORTION as a fundamental right.

Sec. 2. Article 22 of Chapter I of the Vermont Constitution is added to read:

Article 22. [Personal reproductive liberty]

That an individual’s right to personal reproductive autonomy is central to the liberty and dignity to determine one’s own life course and shall not be denied or infringed unless justified by a compelling State interest achieved by the least restrictive means.

We, the undersigned, object to and oppose efforts already underway to include language intended to enshrine unlimited, unregulated abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy into Vermont’s founding document.

As a Catholic I believe abortion IS murder. As a practical, hard working Vermonter, I resent MY tax dollars being spent to fund abortion. I'm talking about you, Planned Parenthood!

Please protect our adolescents, whose brains are physically not developed enough to reason out decisions with such enormous life consequences (abortion, gender decisions) without the guidance of parents. Please protect our babies, who are depending on us to speak up for them. PLEASE STOP PROPOSAL 5.

If proposal 5 asks for the liberty and dignity to determine one's own life course it would make it illegal to have an abortion as the fetus is not the same person as the mother and, therefore, is not the mother's own life. Proposal 5 needs to be rejected. We need to protect the life of the individual in the mother's womb.

I can't see how the right to unliminted and unregulated abortion is the answer. Isn't it better to fund all the services necessary for a person to sustain life inside and outside the womb. This is a proven way to limit abortion or the perceived need for it.

Vermonters do not was radical abortion laws and should not want to keep company with the 7 countries, including North Korea and China, that allow late term abortion. This barbaric proposal will harm women’s mental and physical health.

Part of my family are in my life because some mothers so unselfishly had their children and for their own private reasons..put them up for adoption..Right to life is not an option...it is a must We must fight for the.babies that have no voice to speak for themselves. .

Unborn babies are human beings and as such are citizens of the United States. And as such they have the inalienable right to life under the United States Constitution, but unfortunately this right is not is not being enforced. Judges have either ignored the inalienable right to life or twisted the meaning of the law to protect their own political agenda.
