I am a "Boomer" who would love to down-size to a lovely little tiny house in a sustainable neighborhood.

I've been doing lots of research and emailing companies back and forth about building and/or buying my own tiny home. This movement just makes me even more excited to downsize the unnecessary items in my life and to life a more simple and happy lifestyle! ! !

I have been following this movement across the country for several years now and I think it's a great idea! South Bend needs to utilize ideas to bring people back into the older neighborhoods, which I live in one,and revive these areas .

I fully support this movement. I agree that it would aid in maintaining lots that currently go untouched and therefore become an eyesore or even become a danger. This would eliminate that. It would also benefit the homeless population in giving them a place to live, shelter from the elements, an address for employment purposes, all reducing the homeless population significantly.

Some day our lives could change in a blink of an eye...a death of a family member, the loss of a job..this could be any one of us ..don't feed the greed get involved in your community and be a solution!

There is no reason for this not to be legal.

With the cost of basic human dwelling space always going up, this option should be available. The amount of restrictions in place needs to be removed so that those who choose this option are welcome here.

It should be a person's right to make their own living choices. If a person wants to live in a closet it's their own decision, and owner occupiers of property shouldn't have to feel burdened by the forced opinions of legislative bodies.

Some NY City apartments are smaller. Support debt-free home ownership! When residents own something, they tend to respect and take care of it more than if they had rented.

Makes sense. Totally reasonable. Let's do it!

Housing for the homeless? Um, yes please. This is northern Indiana and there's a bit of a snow storm going on outside right now. I about blew over and froze just taking the trash out for 2 minutes.. I couldn't imagine being stuck somewhere out there with no place to go. Signed and shared..

We are seriously looking into this for ourselves. It would be great for couples with grown or no children.

I've been tossing the idea of building a tiny house for quite some time now. Hopefully this can spread into Michigan too!

I would even put a couple of these on my property. It's redicukous that we have a facility that goes and picks up homeless animals and shelter them and feeds ten but we don't have anything for our fellow homeless humans.... Just not right.

Tiny Houses and Tiny Houses on wheels are the same thing as a big house but smaller. I believe they should be allowed because it should be a persons choice on what size their house is. This isn't a safety issue, tiny houses are safe, it's just an issue with how the laws are written currently in most areas of the USA.

What a fantastic idea for our homeless. It's time for the cities around us to take the steps necessary to take care of its residents that need help.
