Radio isn't dead, just devoid of original content.

Christian James Hand and Mike Savage brought their unique show and talent to 95.5 KLOS Los Angeles, a Cumulus station, with a weekly 1 hour radio show called The Session. The Session takes a closer look at popular and classic songs by dissecting each element, going over each instrument and vocal track, peeling the layers of sound away like an onion and showing the audience just how amazing and talented the people behind the music are. It was not only educational and informative, but it taught the listener to 'hear' a song with different ears. And it brought new appreciation for the musicianship so that one could like a song they never did before or love a song over again.

The show started on September 11, 2016 and ran on Sunday nights at 7:00pm. On June 18, 2017, it was unceremoniously removed from the broadcast line up. Christian James Hand had been recognized for these song breakdowns when he did 20 minute versions for a previous radio station. A GuitarWorld article on his breakdown of Toto's Rosanna gave him national recognition and he was able to turn that into an hour long show at 95.5 KLOS. While he does have monthly live events where he does this, the radio and streaming services of the station allowed for more listeners across the country (and some parts of the world) to listen to these amazing songs and their breakdowns.

Please join in this petition to have 95.5 KLOS, Cumulus Radio and its Program Director, Keith Cunningham know how much The Session means to you.
