This petition is to bring the Nursing program to GNTC on the Gordon County Campus in Calhoun, GA. Currently the only program offered in Calhoun is the CNA. Many current CNA's and LPN's would love to return for their associate nursing degree but the only options in the area are Dalton State and Georgia Highlands. And many people have already had bad experiences with these two schools personally or have heard horrible things about these two schools, (especially their nursing programs). While the Walker County campus for GNTC does offer the associates in Nursing many potential students in Calhoun, Rome, Adairsville, and the surrounding area are not willing to take that drive. Having the Associate of Nursing program at the Gordon County Campus will bring numerous past students and current students looking to further their nursing education. It would also bring in new future students in the Gordon county area who otherwise would have never considered GNTC because of the lack of the associate in nursing program. By signing your name to this petition you are stating that you agree and feel that having the Associate of Nursing program at GNTC on the Gordon County Campus would be a huge benefit to the Gordon County community and surrounding areas, as well as Georgia Northwestern Technical College.
