By far, the Standard Hotel will be the most beneficial in terms of benefiting the growth of MVT while impoving safety and amenities. Locating a property like the Standard Hotel in the neighborhood will definitely put MVT on the map.

I live 3.5 blocks from the site and pass by it frequently. My #1 priority is improving security by increasing street traffic, particularly during evenings/weekends. The Standard Hotel proposal will do this, and it will also add amenities for neighborhood residents, creates jobs, and generate tax revenue.

Though I think you're incorrect on the $ 2 million park investment detail (that's another proposal, I believe), I still support this project over the others.

Thanks for organizing, Alejandro. I live across the street from the proposed development site at 5th and I strongly support the Standard Hotel proposal.

There is a need for more hotels in Old City/Chinatown and a need to beautify surrounding parks. There are more than enough office buildings and condos in the area where sharp competition could make it less viable. A hotel is a utility and an upgrade to the area.
