We are a dedicated group of Powell Riverites eager to bring the sport of squash to Powell River.

For those unfamiliar, squash is an awesomely fun racket sport played in a four walled court. Along with is sister sport "raquetball", it can be played in singles and doubles.

Squash provides one of the best and quickest workouts you can get. Forbes magazine named squash the number 1 healthiest sport! Learn more here: https://www.squashvic.com.au/w/blog/the-healthiest-sport-in-the-world-as-rated-by-forbes-just-got-a-whole-lot-better.

There are currently no squash courts in Powell River (as far as we know!), and the City has expressed little interest in building/maintaining any.

We are currently preparing to submit a proposal for funding to Powell River Community Forest to build a squash court(s). This requires a lot of legwork, including getting cost estimates, finding a suitable rental location, recruiting members, gathering letters of support for community groups, and courting sponsorship. The court(s) would then be maintained and managed by a non-profit squash club.

Please sign our petition to show your interest and support in bring squash courts to Powell River!
