Soccer players at South Hamilton are sick of being told that our sport isn't important enough to be a school sponsored sport. We do have community soccer, in which we play against each other, but we would LOVE to have a traveling soccer team in which we can support our school. Other Iowa schools do around our county, so why not us?! Our athletic director is very much against soccer, and if we dont take matters into our own hands we will never see a change! Lets make 2014 the year we change their minds, and get to have our first SH soccer team! GO HAWKS!

I love soccer and would like to see it played at South Hamilton. If we were able to play it here at South Hamilton for a spring league, I would probably come back and coach it!
I have been in the community soccer team every year possible. I was always disappointed when the soccer season was over and I would love to see the soccer season expanded. I would also like to see us moving to different places and facing different teams just like the football, basketball, and wrestling teams get to.
I've always wanted to be able to play soccer, but have never been able to play due to work in the Fall. I feel that we need to get spring league soccer in our school. It's another option for more students who don't want to play other sports.
This certainly needs to be a school event. I have children that played soccer there for more than 10 years. Soccer Saturday is a big deal at South Hamilton, Imagine if it was a school event!
Any body that is out there that doesn't think soccer is a sport needs to go to a practice with these kids and play in a game! It is great excersice and requires team work. Soccer is just as much of a sport as football, basketball, baseball, softball, track, wrestling, volleyball, and golf. Does the school really think soccer is going to take away from the other sports? There are a lot of kids that only do soccer and don't participate in the other sports. Lets keep as many kids busy with something good!

I beleive that it would be a great sport program for kids not involved in no sports or if they are let the kids decide what to go out for. We shouldn't let certain school personal decide for the kids just because they think it will take kids away from other sports. If there is a legitament reason not to have it, that would be understandable.
