We are fans of Squid Game who were deeply affected by the ending of Season 3. What happened to Gi-hun did not feel like a natural conclusion to his character, but rather like a betrayal of everything he represented. There was an earlier version of the story where he survived with the baby and left the games again, and many of us believe that version would have made far more sense emotionally and narratively. What happened instead left people feeling shocked, abandoned, and disconnected. When characters that audiences deeply connect with are suddenly removed in such a hopeless and senseless way, it breaks the trust viewers have in the story. Some fans no longer feel safe getting attached to anyone, because they fear the show will punish that attachment without meaning. This emotional damage has already led many people to say they won’t watch the next season, simply because they can’t handle another loss like this. We’re not asking for fan service, we’re asking for storytelling that values what the audience has emotionally invested in. Gi-hun mattered. He gave people hope. Taking him away so abruptly felt like taking that hope away. We ask you to either bring back the original planned ending where he survives with the baby, or return him to the story in a meaningful and respectful way. Otherwise, the emotional damage done to this fanbase may not be repairable.

What they did doesn't make sense, Gi-hun was Squid Game, without him it doesn't make sense. Bring him back please, Netflix can do anything. Do all the spinoffs you want, but give us back our Gi-hun.
The ending of the series was not only another sad one. It was unfair. Not deserved. And people who had hope cannot have hope for any other good and deserved endings or trust in other Squid Game versions or seasons. Life isn't only about giving. It’s about giving and taking. And Gi-hun had given too much and deserve to get back what he finally deserved: meet his daughter and be happy again and not a stupid unnecessary victim. Let Gi-hun and the baby be happy after all this
I understand what the director was trying to achieve but I find it had the opposite effect. By killing Gi-hun, was killing hope for humanity. Also, I don't believe his character is done. There's a lot more to his story which was not explored. How does someone who has been through what he has been through continue his life, especially now his mission to stop the games has been completed. Even though I believe the games have only temporarily stopped. There's also more to be explored between Gihun and the Frontman.
Absolutely. If the developers of the seasons still wants us to receive Gi-hun's message, then they should do that differently. Gi-hun could have had hallucinations or that he wakes up after he had a nightmare so we all get his message without being traumatised
We all got the message but that message should have been shown in a different way because this was traumatising many people and it was totally not deserved and too much heartbreaking. This is NOT what we wanted. We want a fair ending with hope and justice for our Gi-hun!!!
There is much more his character can give to the show.
Gi-hun deserves to live! #BringBackGiHun

This wasn’t a bold twist, it was a decision that destroyed everything the series stood for. Gi-hun wasn’t just a character, he was the heart, the hope, the proof that even through trauma and fear, you don’t stop being human. His journey wasn’t meant to end with a cheap shock. Killing him right when he was fighting for something good wasn’t brave, it was cruel and deeply disrespectful. They didn’t just kill Gi-hun, they killed trust, hope, and connection. Many watched Squid Game because of him, for his humanity, his smile, his way of stumbling but still standing up. And now the message of that unlogical series: if you’re soft, if you help, if you love and fight, you deserve to die. What kind of message is that?
