The law is there to protect us right?In this case, it is the opposite. The law seems more important to protect than human beings themselves. These poor children need a place of safe haven, and how is that when there lives are still in the hands of the one they are most afraid of? Sometimes the law isn't right for everyone, there will always be different situations. Instead of making decisions because it's the law, make decisions because it is the right thing to do.

Kids have been through enough. I read their Uncles plea, absolutely heart breaking. Let this kids grieve and have whanau around to support. Father gave up all rights when he killed their Mother.

The law should be adjusted dependant on the crime. If you take a life you give away all your rights including parental. This could cause major issues for the kids growing up

The father voided all human rights when he took life. He voided parental rights when that life was the childrens mother.

If the law lets this man pass a decision on where the little ones may end up this country needs to rearrange its priorities because one the male subject has denied the life of the kids dearly beloved mother and 2. He should also be deemed unstable to be making decisions for the children
