I believe that that this man forfeited his right to be a father the day he killed his partner their mother let them return home in the security of their mother's family

Let the boys go home to be with their family - they need to be able to farewell their Mum in the traditional way and they deserve to be with those people who will treasure her memory and keep that alive with the kids. The father signed away his rights when he did what he did - give the kids some peace and closure!
