Please help me in raising awareness that the lack of a concern about safety at Pinewood Elementary by the principal Ms. Churchill. She has disregarded complaints about teachers not being present at drop off times, and has even stated that she does it once a week herself and she doesn't want to and shouldn't have to because she's the principal.
Then Wednesday two students were threatened by another student that he was going to come to school with a gun and kill them. Ms. Churchill knew about this Wednesday night and did not report it and still on Thursday did not report it to the superintendent or the police per Federal and state regulations regarding mandatory reporting procedures. Her excuse was that she knew the child and that she knew that the threat was "without merit". She did nothing to protect the children or faculty of that school Thursday morning because the two children threatened were being kept home by parents. The boy was allowed to get on the school bus in the morning (potentially putting those on the bus and the driver in harms way) and to get off the bus at school (again potentially putting those already at the school in harms way children and faculty) before being put into custody of the schools security officer. Then left at the school in the office for a great part of the morning before the parents were finally reached to come to the school.
With all the fatalities in schools over the last few years by students that no one ever expected that student, how could Ms. Churchill take this situation so lightly?
Ms. Churchill has no regard for the safety on that campus for the children or her staff and should NOT be allowed to be in charge of any school, child, or staff safety because she certainly has shown that it is not a concern to her. So please sign this petition to have Ms. Churchill removed as principal of any school, I am not asking her to be fired just simply put in an administrative position to where she is not in charge of students or faculty.
