He has brought great things to The Ocean of Soul. It is unfair to be judge on your past. Sharing life experiences is what teacher do to get students to make the right choices. He has been on staff all this time, why now let him go due o something he has faced and has gotten dismissed.

This was the most unprofessional decision my University has ever made. A week before homecoming and 50 year anniversary of the band. Yet alone, this man has worked more hours and years than a majority of the TSU professor s. He deserves this job

Professor Gibson should remain in the position as Head Band Director of Texas Southern University for the following reasons:
He earned his position for the love of the University and students.
He helps students in numerous of ways that others would never do.
He helped bring in students who would have never thought they would go to college. He inspires and motivate students to stay on task and graduate to be successful.
He goes out his way for everyone in the organization.
He is very selfless.
He continue a tradition that Mr. Butler has started since the existence of the organization.

Professor Gibson had done a lot for me as student here at this university. Not only did he teach me musical knowledge but I was also able to obtain wisdom from him that my father (that was never in my life) couldn’t teach me. It’s been numerous times in my college career that I want to give up on life and felt as if I hand nobody to depend on nor go to too and I had gib this hurts to see the only reason I was even recruited to come to this university be removed . This guy was like a. Father figure to majorly of us !
