I really need to tell you all that the stories appearing in the comments are just so intense and honest because I never expected to hear things like that when I first started tapping this out on my phone. Sometimes it feels like the whole world is heavier than it should be but then I look at all these names and think maybe we are actually catching a glimpse of how things could look if we just stopped carrying so much of the noise around with us.

Yes, PGT Beauregard needs to be in St. Bernard Parish. A school was named after him and he's buried here.Check it out at St Bernard Catholic Cemetery.

It would make a lot of sense to bring the monuments to the battlefield. That way you have a choice to see them or not see them. They are historical men who fought in battles so the battlefield would make a great new home fot the monuments!

I am a former student of P G T Beauegard and and lived most of my life in St Bernard. The monument in St. Bernard is ready and waiting for the General to come home. Please don't discard him like the rest of the others are being handled. Disgraceful!

It would be a huge asset to our history if this statue had its final home in St. Bernard Parish versus a dump yard or as they call it "the department annex yard"

General PGT Beauregard is my 3rd Great Uncle and he needs to b where he was born and where his family can watch over him. I take pride in my history and my name sake! Please don't leave him in a parking lot where bad things can happen. You have seen what has happen to the spot where he was.

Lived in New Orleans for 23 yrs of my life and watched them change my school's mascott from Rebel to Bobcat and that wasn't good enough. Saw them change F T Nicholls to some other name now about 40 yrs later seeing this happening. So i agree if New Orleans doesnt want it then bring it home to where it needs to be in our parish.
