To me, the library is more than just a place with books. It’s where creativity, games, art, and writing come together, and where everyone feels free to share ideas and be themselves. The community is welcoming and supportive, full of good chats, laughter, and inspiration. It’s a space that makes school feel less like school and gives time back to us, and that’s why it’s so special to me.
I’ve been going to the library for almost three years now, and it has been worth every moment- through the tears and the laughter. It truly feels like a home away from home. I’ve made friends and lost friends here. I’ve felt proud and ashamed, inspired and challenged. The library has been a space where I can grow, learn, and just be myself.
In my time in the library, I’ve played many board and card games (my favourite being Go Fish). Some people might think the library is very busy, but there are always quiet spots for homework, studying, and writing stories.
During my time in the library, I’ve been part of many activities. Some were big and creative, like decorating windows and using teamwork to bring ideas to life. Others were smaller and less creative, like cleaning those same windows, which took ages, but still required teamwork and collaboration. I did those tasks regardless because everyone else takes pride in the library spirit and environment, and I wanted to contribute to that too.
I love how, in the library, whenever I need help, there is always someone there to support me. Whether it’s a friend offering advice, another student sharing their knowledge, or a teacher or librarian guiding me through a tricky problem, I always feel like I have someone I can turn to. It’s reassuring to know that no matter what I’m working on- whether it’s homework, a creative project, or just figuring something out- help is always available, and every idea is respected. That support makes the library feel not just like a space for learning, but like a place where everyone looks out for ea
