Dear Ubisoft,
We, the long-lasting, long-standing, devout fans of the Splinter Cell series, are deeply dismayed by your decision to replace a terrific actor Michael Ironside as a voice of our much-loved character Sam Fisher in the new Splinter Cell: Blacklist game, and thus we seriously ask you to reconsider your position.
Throughout the past five editions of our favourite game, we have grown to assimilate Sam Fisher with that particular voice and we foresee the change you are about to implement as having a huge, damaging impact on the series. As you may be aware, due to changes in gameplay in the previous two editions (e.g. mark and execute), some fans had already raised concerns on “playability” of the series, and now losing the remarkable voice of our protagonist will probably be the final nail in Sam’s coffin.
In conclusion, we hope you can see our concerns, and understand that by changing one of the most recognisable attributes of Sam Fisher – his voice – you take away a (large) part of his character. We hope it is not too late to rectify this lapse of judgement, and we look forward to welcome Sam Fisher back, with his memorable, original voice, upon the release.

I am sending our petition link directly to the Ubisoft public relations team today to ensure they see the volume of players demanding the return of Michael Ironside. Post the link on your Twitter feed and tag the official studio account. We need to show them that a beloved character is nothing without the right voice.

The momentum behind this campaign is undeniable and it proves that Sam Fisher is not the same without Michael Ironside. Post the petition link on Facebook and tag Ubisoft to ensure they catch this energy. Send an email to their press office today demanding they bring back the original voice.

The new voice just sounds totally wrong. Ironside defined the character for over a decade. Get it together.

WHY FIX WHAT ISNT BROKEN UBI?? MICHAEL IRONSIDE IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO CAN PLAY SAM.
i grew up playing these games and the voice is half the experience. super disappointed.
its not Sam Fisher without him. simple as that.
