6th grade girl - Mrs. Young has been such a vital part of my child's development at CCA. She could not wait to go to school to share her weekend adventures with Mrs. Young who was always so engaged with the children. Now she is sad, upset by how the situation was handled and not as excited to go to school. I spent time with Mrs. Young at the 6th grade camp, and had the opportunity to see her in action. She is amazing, and so passionate in her commitment to these students, and their well-being. She is one of the ONLY teachers at the school that I have seen address the serious bullying, rumor mill , and alienation of kids with the students in a way that they will remember, and become better people. I've spoken up on numerous occasions to the administrators thru the years, and it was not until we met Jenny that I saw someone truly address it. She makes a difference, and is one of the teachers that kids will remember forever. Please bring her back!

My son had Mrs. Young in 5/6 grade and she was the best teacher for him. She is fair and just and has a heart of gold. She always took extra time to tutor him during lunch and as needed before school. CCA is only the best when we have the best teachers in their positions. We will be heartbroken if my son entering 5th grade in the fall doesn't have Mrs. Young to learn from. What possible reason does the board have to dismiss her from her position? This is news to me and disappointing.

My brother Albert's newfound enthusiasm for and improved performance in writing is in large thanks to Ms. Young, and I'm sure he's not the only one who's thrived because of this teacher's level of care for her students and their learning. It's clear to see how much parents and students care about Ms. Young from the level of support she's gotten in this process. If so many people go to bat for her to stay, then there's clearly something the Administration missed and needs to reevaluate. Ms. Young truly is an asset to this school; the positive reviews from parents alone and her impeccable tenure as an English teacher are telling of her expertise and experience, and she should be allowed to teach again so that future classes of children can learn the love and skill of writing early on.

Ms Young is the best writing teacher with excellent skills till now I have seen.. my son is in 5th grade. He has learned so much from her class. We were very disappointed when she left. CCA kids needs such talented teacher. Please bring her back. Thank you.

My older sister (8th Grade) was part of the volleyball team that Mrs. Young coached. I helped the team by gathering the volleyballs and other simple tasks. My experience with her was a great one. Please bring Mrs. Young back!

I am a former student (8th grade) of Mrs. Young. She made sure no student was bullied under her radar, she would not hesitate to take up 15 minutes of her class time to talk to us students about bullying and how it affects kids. She even started to tear up because she cared for her students that much. Mrs. Young was one of my best teacher that I've ever had and I started CCA in 6th grade. She was an excellent coach and helped me with my volleyball skills. Please bring Mrs. Young back!!! She helps students in writing as well with other life skills!

My brother (6th grade) and I (8th grade) were so sad and shocked to see Ms. Young go! She was such a great teacher and really helped cement my writing and grammar skills.

We were shocked to hear that Mrs Young stopped abruptly. My kids will be happy to see her again at CCA. Dhiren - 8th grade. Rishika - 3rd grade.
