Bring Mr. Richard Back to Sunmeadow Bus Route #18

We love Mr. Richard.

Mr Richard is amazing. Although my kids do not ride his route no more. I remember him always greeting my kiddos with high fives. One of my son has autism and he always made accommodations for him; which I’m very thankful. Honestly, so happy for Neighborhood for reaching out to you.

Bring Mr. Richard back please! Myself, wife and the girls feel a sense of security when he is driving in our neighborhood!

He is wonderful. Bring him back to Sunmeadow!!!

He is great with the kids

My son has ADHD/ODD and when he began riding the bus in kindergarten he had not yet been diagnosed. His behavior was, at times, more than Mr. Richard should have had to tolerate. I am so thankful to Mr. Richard for communicating with me. Also, after his diagnosis and treatment, my son's behavior began to improve. Mr. Richard was just as quick to shoot me a thumbs up and a big "I'm proud of him" grin, as he was to contact me over the bad behavior. Mr. Richard did not EVER judge my son for his condition or me for his behavior, which is more than I can say for a lot of folks. He is not just amazing at his job, he is an amazing person. I think all of our words are a testament to the way his presence in our lives has positively impacted us in one way or another.

I wish my neighborhood was lucky enough to have a bus driver like Mr. Richard! I'm signing this petition to support the residents of Sun Meadows getting their beloved bus driver back!!

Mr.Richard is such a caring and conscientious bus driver. We want him back.

My son is autistic. I have never seen him as comfortable with a bus driver as he is with Mr. Richard. He trusts him and that is rare for my son. He does not do well with change and this situation is setting us back. We want Mr. Richard back, if he is willing to come back. Please at least give him the opportunity.

My children have ADHD and anxiety issues and my little brother, who also rides the bus, has autism. None of them really deal with change well but especially my brother. He is comfortable with Mr. Richard. He trusts him and that is a serious leap for him.

He has been my children's bus driver since they were in Kindergarten. He's been on our route for 5 years. Do you understand how rare that is? I have never once had another bus driver give me their personal cell phone number in case I had questions or concerns or call me personally about my children's behavior so that we could work together to address any negative behaviors. My children have ADHD and have issues with change. They actually behave for him most of the time.

My son & I love Mr. Richard! He is so polite and has helped when my son had an issue with another student picking on him on the bus. He nipped it in the butt and I more than appreciate that! Bring him back!!!

It takes confidence, trust and communication to allow your child to ride with someone else. I trust Mr. Richard. If he is willing to come back, please allow him.

In the 11 years my kids have ridden the bus. Mr Richard has been the best driver of all. Always open and communicates with patents. When my youngest started kindergarten he personally called me and Introduced himself and promised he would watch out for my little one Removing him from a bus route that parents want him on. Has been very distressing to our neighborhood We miss him and want him back. He is trusted and beloved by the families in sunmeadow

I have had children riding a school bus for 22 years and have never had a bus driver I trust more than Mr Richard! Please for our peace of mind return Mr Richard back to route 18, ASAP!

It is a shame that our beloved Mr. Richard was abruptly removed from our Bus route based on one complaint and the person who complained had no right, permission nor authority to speak on behalf of our whole community! That person should have made sure her child new the bus rules so that kind of accidents won't happen in the future! We feel that something has been (stolen) taken away from us without the concent or the opinion of the 99.9% of us. We miss him, our kids miss him, he has been the most wonderful bus driver that a comunity can have! Our kids LOVE Mr. Richard and ask for him every day,,,they want him back, we as a community want him back!! Thank you for your consideration.

Our girls and family miss him so much. please let him return to route 18.
