Alright let me step in here... just my opinion... stratford: if you do this, you're just going to look more ridiculous then you already do. The content of the news reflecting this school district in the past year is insane and embarrassing. In addition to that, you go and fire the best substitute of all time about a year ago, for doing absolutely nothing harmful in this falling apart high school. keep in mind, a teacher that students adored a LOT. now, you're going back to where you started and firing another great and much beloved teacher who, according to all these students, was a huge inspiration and great guy. again, for doing nothing huge. you deprived a good man of his job, a teacher who was helping some of the top students in this town succeed in college leveled math courses at a high grade, and pushing the track team to try their hardest always. Im just pointing out that it seems like stratford is purposely trying to get rid of the coolest teachers around, when the students are the top ones that should be concerned about their education, and according to these sources, he was providing good education. from the outside world, it seems like stratford is falling apart with all these convictions and and teacher issues, and of course its falling apart on the "inside" too. this school district cracks me up sometimes, but i guess nothing is perfect. this is just my opinion, stratford.

Mr. Gus was an excellent teacher who demonstrated a great interest in his students' success but in and out of math. He is a great math teacher who has developed a great bond with his students while pushing them to do better in their academics. He is a kind man and there must'nt be any reason to terminate such a caring, hard working educator and coach. Please bring back Mr. Gus!

Mr. Gustafson has gone out of his way to help me get through my last three years of high school, and I cannot get through my math career, my AP exams, nor my high school academic life knowing that the man that not only helped me in math but also in physics and SAT prep, was fired.

He's great teacher as well as an amazing track coach he got people 5's on the ap exams and helps everyone pushes us in track

Mr.Gus has helped me with so many things both out of school and athletics. He has helped me with mathematics sats/past preps. He has also been a very helpful and motivating coach for 3 yrs now. He has helped me qualify for states swc's with strength speed and distance training to improve my times. It would destroy my high school career if I never got to have mr.gus as my coach or teacher again.
