If Mrs. Chuy was still there I m sure this wouldnt have happened..Mrs. Mitts is a awesome teacher and a very kind loveable individual. ..I had her two years and she always went the extra mile for her students. BRING HER BACK!!!!!!!!!!

This sounds like a no brainer to me. We need more caring teachers in our schools. It is not fair to her students to dismiss her and have nothing more than substitute teachers to offer them for the balance of the school year. I think this is a travesty. Please reinstate her.

Ms. Mitts is a sweet lady and a wonderfull teacher I'm class of 2012 and had Ms. Mitts for English and the entire class loved her. Ms. Mitts was one of the few teachers who really cared about her students, she should be rewarded for caring not punished.

I am so upset that an act of helping someone else resulted in punishment. Some very ridiculous things have happened in the past at Red Bank High but this takes the cake. What happened to helping others in need when they need it? I had Miss Mitts as a teacher freshman year and all i can think of is how kind she was. This student was in serious need and it was not a liability issue because she is a LEGAL ADULT. I hope the right thing is done soon and this issue gets resolved .

Ms Mitts should stand with her head held high and should absolutely not be unemployed. The Principal and the school board should be ashamed of themselves. I hope that Ms Mitts gets enough names on this petition to give her a helping hand in any legal process that might incur

Why would anyone even want to make a teacher have the choice or either being fired or resigning? All for helping out student she cares about? I think it is dumb. I don't know her or anything but I support what she does for her students. If anyone should either be fired or resign should be the principle for even thinking about saying anything to her that resolves around her losing her job. If anything she deserves an award for best teacher ever. (Or something along those lines)

Given the specifics of this case special consideration should be applied for reevaluation of the situation.
My son was a student of Mrs Mitts and loved her. Everyday he had only positive things to say about her. If she had the parents permission and the other student was legally of age I don't see anything wrong with what she done. I would hope all my sons teachers were as concerned.

Ms. Mitts is one of the most caring teachers I've ever known! She did not deserve to lose her job for helping an caring for her students! Ms. Mitts has the best interest for all student and is willing to go the extra mile. If anything, she should be rewarded for her choices! Not punished

Teacher who cares is needed in high schools, red bank should be happy they had a teacher to go above and beyond.
