It's shameful that our society has become so paranoid about liability that block the senses of true humanitarism. I congratulate the teacher for her humanitarian values.

What about humanity and love for others. Doesn't that count? Isn't that more important?

I would say she did not get along with a teacher who was putting out, to the right person in charge. And they looked for anything, and everything to get rid of her, and they did. She is a good person, it is people like that, that we need in schools!

Selfless kind act of a great heart teacher should not cost her job. Sham on red bank High School Principal & other school managements. Reinstate her job with a full apology now!

The school district is made up of liars and chickens afraid to make a decision because of possible repercussions from doing the right thing.

She is a human, and being human supersedes liability. Unfortunately assistant superintendent to cover her job sacrificing a goodness act which should be a good example for our children. Tennessee Good Samaritan Law should protect teacher Miss Mitts.

Someone with a Degree does not mean that they are in touch with humanity. We should reflect on the Real Motivations of some in positions only whose self-interest are served. Yes, and we wonder why, we are in a state of Social Decline. I bet the Principal is in a financially Strong position and does not know what its like to be in a state of Need. The real Issue is Lack of Compassion. That cannot be bought, it must come from the heart. The Principal should be looking for a job working with inanimate objects, like packing Boxes in a Wharehouse. If its possible, she should consider joining the Army. She will make a fine soldier. We need her !

Crazy. I'm a retired teacher. Mitt's concern for her students is great. If she was a member o a union they would have stood up for her.

We need more teachers that are so devoted to not only the intelligence of their students but also their physical well-being. She should also get her pay DOUBLED!

We need good teachers more than pedantic principals who are overpaid and over eager to discipline teachers for doing the right things.

Letting a good teacher go for caring about students is ridiculous. I think instead that Principal Roberts should be given the choice of being fired or resigning for his actions!
